Afternoon Leisure Sail
We booked the afternoon sail somewhat on a whim, not sure what to expect. The crew was genuinely welcoming rather than performatively friendly, and the route they chose — away from the busier tourist boats — made it feel like we had the coastline to ourselves. The snorkel stop was well-chosen; the reef was clear and calm. Worth every baht.

Private Island Day Trip
We took the full-day trip to Ang Thong for our anniversary. The lunch onboard was genuinely impressive — not the standard tourist catering you sometimes get on boats. Overnight Coastal Passage
The overnight charter was the highlight of two weeks in Thailand. The Situation
A family of five with children aged 7, 10, and 13 — first time on a boat together
The family contacted Aquinox two weeks before their trip, unsure whether their children would manage on a boat. They had never been on anything larger than a ferry. The youngest tended toward anxiety in new situations.
How We Handled It
We suggested the afternoon sail as the lowest-commitment introduction, with an option to extend to the island day trip on a second day if the children took to it. The briefing on departure focused on the children — explaining the boat's layout, what the sounds meant, and what would happen at each stop.
The snorkel stop was chosen in water shallow enough for the youngest to stand, and the crew stayed in the water with the children throughout.

The Situation
A corporate group of twelve needing a half-day activity on a short schedule
The group coordinator contacted us three days before the date needed. Twelve people, mixed experience with water, a fixed return deadline of 2pm. They had tried two other charter services who could not accommodate the number on the timeline.
How We Handled It
We confirmed within the same day. A motor yacht from the fleet was more appropriate than a sailing vessel for the group size and time constraint. We agreed a departure time that would allow a comfortable morning on the water with a buffer before the return deadline.
Catering was adapted for a group — simpler cold options rather than cooked — which suited the midday format better and was agreed in advance.
What Happened
The group returned to the marina with 40 minutes to spare. The coordinator reported that it was the activity the group discussed most during the rest of the conference. Three individuals from the group contacted Aquinox separately during the same week to book personal charters.
